The beginnings..
once upon a time...
Tiago Splitter, born on January 1, 1985, in Joinville, Brazil, had an early life filled with a passion for sports, particularly basketball. Influenced by his parents' love for sports, Tiago developed an interest in basketball from a young age. He grew up in Blumenau, a city located in the state of Santa Catarina, Brazil.
During his formative years, Tiago attended Barão do Rio Branco school in Blumenau. He not only focused on basketball but also tried his hand at various other sports, including track and field, volleyball, handball, and soccer. Despite exploring these different sports, Tiago's height and basketball skills set him apart from others.
By the age of 12, Tiago had already reached a height of 1.85 meters (approximately 6 feet 1 inch), which further enhanced his basketball abilities. His height, combined with his developing skills, allowed him to excel on the basketball court.
At the age of 14, Tiago's talent caught the attention of scouts from Europe while he was playing for the Brazilian national under-16 team. Impressed by his performance, these scouts offered him a contract to play basketball in Europe. This marked a significant turning point in Tiago's career, as he embarked on a journey to play professional basketball internationally.
